PROJECT MANAGER - ESTIMATOR 

Rimmer & Roeter Construction, Inc., an established General Contractor located in Cashmere, Washington, seeks an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to manage commercial, industrial, agricultural and custom residential projects in North Central Washington.  We provide construction services in the private and public market for both new, remodel and tenant improvement work. 

Rimmer & Roeter Construction is seeking an organized, motivated and efficient Construction Manager with the capability to coordinate multiple construction projects from their conception to punch list/close out.  Applicant must have a minimum of 5+ years experience as a Construction Project Manager, have a strong familiarity with computers and software programs for job costing, scheduling, project management and estimating, and be technically competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Projects.  Must have good oral and written communication skills. Salary will depend on your experience, benefits are available. 

Typical Job Responsibilities May Include:

  • Prepare project estimates using established company processes and procedures.

  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines. Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes.

  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Direct and supervise job superintendent or foreman.

  • Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.

  • Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects.

  • Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.

  • Facilitate onsite project meeting. Document meeting decisions and actions.

  • Take actions to deal with delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.

  • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.

  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.

  • Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

  • Prepare punch lists and as-built information.

Construction: Clinical / Commercial Tenant Improvement Lead/Foreman/JR Superintendent

Rimmer & Roeter Construction, Inc. is seeking an individual to add to our team to assist with our Clinical and Commercial Tennant Improvement Division. This person should be a self-
starter, able to work alone, would assist our tenured personal with coordination of Subcontractors, Vendors and Owners. This is a “hands on” working position, along with standard
Carpentry Construction skills this person should have knowledge of light gauge metal stud framing, hollow metal doors/hardware installation, and an understanding of the work required of the other trades. This person would need to understand and be able to implement the requirements of Infection Control methods (ICRA) (in house training is available).

This position requires Climbing Ladders, lifting, bending and operating construction equipment. Along with
standard daytime shifts this position may require nights, weekend, or Standby shifts depending
on our client’s needs. This position requires a valid driver’s license. Compensation is Dependent on Experience, Our pay is Competitive, plus Medical, 401K, Paid Time Off (PTO), and Holiday pay available.

CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT - "Washington State (NCW, Columbia Basin)"

Rimmer & Roeter Construction, Inc., an established General Contractor located in Cashmere, Washington, seeks an experienced Project Superintendent for commercial, industrial, agricultural and custom residential projects in North Central Washington.  We provide construction services mainly in the private market with some public works projects for both new, remodel and tenant improvement type jobs.  

We are seeking an individual with strong leadership and organizational skills, capable of coordinating personnel, subcontractors, equipment and suppliers for a variety of construction projects ranging in size from $50,000 to $5,000,000. Applicant must have a minimum of 5+ years experience as a working Construction Superintendent with “bags-on” construction experience.  Computer skills a plus; Microsoft Excel, Word, Projects and Outlook.  Compensation will depend on your experience, benefits are available. 

Typical Job Responsibilities May Include:

  • Direct, coordinate and supervise job foreman and field personnel.

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

  • Provide material take-offs and procurement of materials.

  • Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction means and methods.

  • Provide 4 week mini-schedules for the project in logical steps, providing manpower and equipment requirements to meet deadlines.

  • Conduct Safety meetings, document incidents/violations and conduct safety inspections.

  • Complete time cards, daily logs, purchase orders and job costing associated with the same.

  • Track subcontractors’ progress on the job, maintain the project’s schedule, and coordinate the various agencies for inspections and compliance with the drawings and specifications.

  • Must have a good understanding of the means, methods and processes associated with all phases of construction; from site work through electrical.

  • Monitor and maintain quality control.

  • Take actions to deal with delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.

  • Confer with management personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
